Our Experience with FinTech Innovation Lab/New York.
Run by The Partnership Fund for New York City and Accenture, FinTech Innovation Lab brings together early and growth stage companies with the world’s leading financial services companies and venture capital firms. Ten companies were selected to be a part of the 2020 Cohort, and it was exciting to be one of them.
Last week, our journey wrapped up when Broker Buddha CEO Jason Keck presented at Virtual Demo Day. It was a chance to showcase our platform to a wide audience, and help people understand how we’re transforming the application and renewal process in an industry that hasn’t exactly embraced technology.
The FinTech Innovation Lab program.
We were honored to be among the companies selected for the 2020 Cohort. Today, we’re also grateful. Throughout the 12-week process, we spent time with executives from major carriers and global brokers, including AIG, AON, AXA, Marsh, The Hartford, Travelers, and Zurich.
By meeting with business development, tech, legal and procurement executives, we gained knowledge about their operations and decision-making. It also gave us a chance to educate key personnel about Broker Buddha, and demonstrate how our platform can bring new speed and efficiency to the insurance process.
This process has given us fresh insight that will help us further refine and improve our platform. It was also valuable on the business development side—we have Proof-of-Concept projects underway with one major carrier and one major broker, with two others set to launch very shortly.
